Lest we forget

Before the Remembrance service we were gifted 'Pages of the sea' - early morning sand portraits of Wilfred Owen and soldiers on the shores of Folkestone - poetry and poignancy to mark the passage of WW1 troops. Here was where they were given their final cuppa and cake before leaving England's shores for the Western Front. As the tide washed them away we remembered our family members lost alongside so many others. RIP.
