The Quest for Sanctuary

The artist's studio is a hallowed place - a port in a storm, or the storm, depending upon the day. They take many forms - Sorolla's studio is one to aspire to, when size, height and light were possible and affordable. Increasingly I yearn for the space, light and freedom to create. To be able to step into that space, uninterrupted, and focus. Total immersion in something that feeds mind, soul and spirit, surrounded by pieces that stimulate, inspire and nurture. It is getting closer, but good things take time..
