It is a joyful moment when you are able to spend as much time as you like before Master paintings that have inspired you in books since childhood. To be surrounded by a profusion of Dutch Master works, and have the luxury of days to enjoy them face to face was the best birthday present a older brother could give his fledgling artist sister. The breadth, diversity and availability of art in this stylish, hip and vibrant city was refreshing. Rich in history, the beauty of its architecture, canals and countryside beg further exploration - as do the treasures within it's Museums.
