Gregorian chant to feed the soul in San Miniato al Monte, a wander stopping to smell the delicious sweetness of the flourishing Rose Garden, a delicious coffee - then happening upon proud Florentines marching in historical costume, playing and orating in Piazza della Signoria - finishing with a rousing "Viva Firenze!" Love this city. Nothing like a drum and a colourful pair of pantaloons to give you a spring in your step for the week.
