The luxury of time

When challenges confront me in work, life and study I think on what the Masters achieved in an era where day to day challenges were far in excess of anything I might be dealing with.
Basic essentials must have been so much harder to come by. Light, space, shelter, materials, food, clothing, heating, good health - life and work conditions often dependent on social and political affiliations.
Perhaps shorter lifespans (Michelangelo excepted) helped fuel artistic passion and endeavor. Striving to meet deadlines and appease demanding patrons while producing new and exemplary work. Work that stands apart even today.
I think perhaps Florence has the answers for all would-be creatives.
We just need to know the right questions to ask and where to look. And how to make the most of the time that we have.
