The power and beauty of form

January 21, 2017

There is a wonderful synchronicity that comes when studying classical realism at the FAA by the very nature of being in Firenze. Here, one is surrounded by a gluttony of excellence in beauty and form. City wanderings feed the eyes, soul and senses with creativity on every level - architecture, frescoes, paintings and sculpture. The cradle of the Renaissance holds examples of remarkable mastery and skill no matter the tool or medium. Their work was fresh, new and cutting edge for it's time and remains as powerful and resonant today as it ever was. What a legacy - and inspiration.
